History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Bertram was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He was taken from his home at a very young age. Some 6 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter.
