He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Detective and was forced into it by his family.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Sethrekar was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His parents were killed by gnolls in a raid when he was still a young child. The gnolls captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Sethrekar fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it
