History: Rurik lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

More though he will beg to come along on any journeys. He will attempt to stowaway on any ship he can in the hopes that it will get him further away.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and he is greedy

History: Bertram was born in the south. At a young age he loved to build and create. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: He wants random interesting trinkets and junk, hates to throw anything away; and he wants to get laid
