Personality: Shifting wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Bard, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of dire rats may trigger it at times.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Elaim was born with his father's beautiful face. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Elaim fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
