History: Oriax hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, gnolls burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the south, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying south to reunite his family. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: He was born into a rich family. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Gnomes in Arumawann's homeland. Arumawann decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.
