History: Mantus hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. He has had some formal singing training, and achieved minor success. He has dedicated himself to building a better kind of golem.

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Tricking was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion
