History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Richard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when goblins swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order.
