His hair is long and blonde with streaks of black, and is pulled back with small brown clips. His beard is black, braided, and well cared for. He wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. He is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: Varis was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Monk, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Monk in service of a powerful lord somewhere.
