History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His father was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the west were limited. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he has a crush on the local banker

Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
