Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Dragonborns in Shamash's homeland. Shamash decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

His father taught him the rudiments of the Bather arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. His father took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. He bought a halberd and has really upped his game hunting, due to his understanding of decoy and ambush.
