History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Kothûg alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: A deep hatred of illithids.
