History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Through the years after Jocelyn was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Jocelyn's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. He is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.

History: Gale was born with his father's beautiful face. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often; and he is a bit of a kleptomaniac

Description: A man with a friendly, welcoming air about him, he has the majority of his body covered in plate. His long brown hair reaches down to his waist. His face is scarred and worn.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Qualen embodies much of what other species detest in the Gnomes. He passes on several rewards to people in need. He makes a point to leave places better than he found them.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Gnomes in the south were limited. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC.

Description: This man tends to wear a heavy leather apron. Coupled with his rolled up shirt sleeves this gives him a very relaxed look. He is muscular with a powerful set of arms. His hair is always cut to a buzz. He wears round tiny glasses practically rammed into his face.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. When triggered he is a bloodthirsty maniac, stopping at nothing and killing everything for almost an hour.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Knight hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and he seems to be bored by most things

Description: This younger middle-aged man is wearing the road beaten gear of a warrior, and a wedding ring on his right hand. He sports a long auburn beard, and similarly colored long hair. His brown eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. He has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: He fancies himself a trickster and likes to rely on his wits to carry the day. He cares for his older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. He is obsessed with his god.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Dean was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Wants to raise his children well; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
