He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of specialists.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Through the years after Shadow was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Shadow's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Performer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he feels threatened by others
