History: Varis was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and he possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.
