His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Bricklayer for hire.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Heian was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Baz embodies much of what other species detest in the Half-Orcs. He is used to getting what he wants. In part because he is a meticulous planner.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Miner work with an outfit from a few towns over. Miner work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Halfling conditions. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.
