History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. His parents were killed by dire rats in a raid when he was still a young child. The dire rats captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Bertram was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

He became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. Being a Roofer kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.
