History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. Through the years after Alston was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Alston's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Hunter and was forced into it by his family.

Personality: He is a man who does what he needs to. He will acquiesce to black mail and extortion to avoid trouble. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and he has decided he is irredeemable

Personality: He speaks before he thinks and is too direct. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Diggory was born on a far eastern desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Baker. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of dire rats may trigger it at times.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his mother's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered dire rats who tried to eat his hand. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help
