History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Rurik was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Rurik was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

History: Born in the east his family was never financially stable. He worked as a nervous Ruler and found it very stressful. Some 10 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Qualen never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.
