History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Baern was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His psionic abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He was granted psionic powers by his dying sister.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and to end his boredom

Personality: He's a bit of a prankster. He knows he is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. He passes on several rewards to people in need. He makes a point to leave places better than he found them.

History: Tethren was born in the west. At a young age he loved to build and create. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Healer. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 11 years.

Motivation: To be a Detective again; and sabotage a competitor

Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the east. The war was a terrible time for him, and Norkruuth does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: He loathes his own lifestyle; and he feels kind of lost in life

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. He has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often; and money/treasure
