Personality: Bernard is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He always admired martial-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He was granted martial powers by his dying brother.
