He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

History: Bertram was raised in a hard working conservative environment. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Marshal. He has achieved small success as a Marshal.

Personality: Stoic and calm, he prefers to meditate than take action. He passes on several rewards to people in need. He makes a point to leave places better than he found them.

Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the south. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the south; and he is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out
