When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

History: Shadow lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Tabaxi activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Tabaxi doctor. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Everard grew up listening to his father's many stories. Cursed with unlife at a very young age, Everard has worked very hard to control his curse. In his journeys he found a malevolent artifact. He wishes to return this artifact and its corrupting influence back to where it came.

Personality: He speaks before he thinks and is too direct. He enjoys reading and quiet.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
