History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Barrister and was forced into it by his family; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: Therai wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Aristocrat, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: Therai lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Wants to raise his children well; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

History: He was raised in a forest tribe. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He bought a quarterstaff and has really upped his game hunting, due to his understanding of decoy and ambush.

Motivation: He is greedy.

Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of brigands may trigger it at times.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: A deep hatred of brigands.
