When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He struck the Shoemaker job and began his own company from there.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Hunter hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. John was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the dire rats.
