Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He would rather hide behind his crafts than deal with other people.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. After a long history of fighting, Rendar and his spouse have recently divorced.
