His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Personality: He loves telling others what to do and how they should feel about things. The war was a terrible time for him, and Watson does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Halfling companion (his 'brother'). He has worked as a Merchant like his mother before him.

A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Description: An older man who wears a suit in poor condition. It has not been laundered in sometime and has been worn in activities one would not normally wear a suit during, he is not a threatening figure. His brass crest has been sun bleached extensively. He is missing an eye and his face is severely sunburned. His one remaining eye shines gold.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Direcris's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He refers to his adoptive mother for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He found a children's book about a Dragonborn Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To unite with his brother; and he doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered painting. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.
