History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Beggar. He tends to his Beggar job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

He had to support his now crippled mother and took his mother's old job. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

As he has aged he has sought to do reparations for his actions as a youth. He is also making sure that his compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.

History: Born to a Carpenter, his mother struggled to pay the bills. In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Shifting alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.
