History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and doesn't want to be a marshal and was forced into it by his family

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Zook embodies much of what other species detest in the Gnomes. He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. At a young age his father died while driving off some giants. His mother being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in quarterstaff use. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and many giants want him driven away
