Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Shamash's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. Any perceived weakness will be pressed and exploited. He is seen as merciless and passionate.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. Shamash was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Shamash decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: Zephan hails from a village terrorized by drow. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and he desires to right it.

History: A child with a great deal of singing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has never given up on his singing dream.
