To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Broce. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

History: The child of a Courier, who enjoyed hunting, Thradal was taken on many hunting expeditions. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Crown-heir hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Description: This man is tall and muscular. He sports black clothing, slightly heavier than average wear. His blonde hair is smooth and relatively long. He was beautiful and young once, which still shows through his age, but it is a faded beauty.

Personality: He hates illithids. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He disdains his fellow northerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
