He found a children's book about a Tiefling Adept who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He tends to his Jeweler job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Rivaan was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and a deep hatred of illithids

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His childhood dream was to be a Sculptor, but he was a colossal failure. He became a Bookbinder soon after.

Motivation: A deep hatred of brigands; and to protect his home
