Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Carter and was forced into it by his family; and marry his brother to traveling adventurers

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls.
