Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He loves being with his children and actually smiles when they are around. He would do anything for them. He dislikes his ex a great deal.

Personality: He runs his personal life as if detached from it. He organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits he will get from it. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, River was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Like his mother and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Stableman. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Stylist. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Engraver hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
