History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the forest to a summer home near a ruined castle. He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the forest due to the painful memories there. Ratak took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up quarterstaff and armor he uses now. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Eberk was born on a far southern plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Sailor. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
