History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He married young, but lost his spouse to gnolls. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Roland was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the gnolls.

History: He was born in the north. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

History: He was born in a small island village. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a orcs raid, leaving Xappan alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: He has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day; and someone believes him a fraud
