History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

History: Merihim hails from a village terrorized by giants. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He wants random interesting trinkets and junk, hates to throw anything away; and many giants want him driven away

Personality: He hates goblins. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He is kind towards other men and children and will generally offer men help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to him.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. At some point he was captured by goblins and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out

Personality: He is business-like. He takes instructions and follows them to the letter. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: He was born in the west. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister.
