When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Herbalist hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the east; and doesn't want to be a herbalist and was forced into it by his family

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He became a Carter soon after.

Description: His right thumb is blackened and bruised, but otherwise he appears quite healthy. He dresses well, typically a more casual-formal manner. His black hair is still thick. He has a tattooed face.

Personality: He is extraordinarily eccentric. He is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Half-Elves.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. Through the years after Anselm was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Anselm's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
