Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. He has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: When he was but 6 years old his parents immigrated from the south. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: Paelias hails from a village terrorized by orcs. He married young, but lost his spouse to orcs. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and he is content
