History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Rurik was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Personality: He is a sleazy, sleazy guy. He has no qualms about using his powers of suggestion to get people to do what he wants. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Over the years he perfected his riding and shooting skills. He bought a sai and has really upped his game hunting, due to his understanding of decoy and ambush.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

Personality: He is mildly Elf supremacist, though he does not identify as such. He loves being with his children and actually smiles when they are around. He would do anything for them. He dislikes his ex a great deal.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Elven conditions. Some 10 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Laucian never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and an old rival family wants him found
