History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it.
