History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. A freak accident while working with his Guard father left him crippled. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Valafar was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Interpreter. He now owns his own business.
