The giants captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. John was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the giants.

Personality: He swings through moods quickly. One moment he is cool and collected, the next he is carried away by passions. He is a font of random trivia from the lore and stories he has discovered

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Sammal hails from a village terrorized by drow. He has had some formal painting training, and achieved minor success. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. He passes on several rewards to people in need. He makes a point to leave places better than he found them.
