History: He was raised in a plains tribe. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Balam alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He comes from a rich eastern family. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

History: Born in the south his family was never financially stable. In his 16th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He's also a talented Dilettante, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Seamstress they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Scribe, and he later adopted a second son.

Motivation: Marry his sister to traveling adventurers.
