Personality: He is a man who does what he needs to. He will acquiesce to black mail and extortion to avoid trouble. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. In his 18th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Umpen fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: He was raised in a island tribe. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Layabout work with an outfit from a few towns over.
