Description: Dark and lean, he is a relatively plain man. He wears rags and sports a simple walking cane. He has shaved his head bald. His thin eyebrows rest above his beady brown eyes.

Personality: He likes to make people angry or surprised. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Aelar is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Aelar was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Wizard, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Wizard in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and to get a good night's sleep

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. A freak accident while working with his Ploughman mother left him crippled. He has never given up on his writing dream.
