History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Through the years after Umpen was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Umpen's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He became a Interpreter soon after.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Barfa was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Fisher. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.
