History: Erky was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Barbarian, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Barbarian in service of a powerful lord somewhere. Erky abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Personality: He is irritable and easily angered. He is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use his stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. Heian was born on a far northern desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Navigator. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Many dire rats want him driven away; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it

Personality: Travok is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He is a great chef.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Travok was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 12 years.

Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life.

Description: This man is very fat, and wears a violet cloak and cross-gartered white stockings. He has wavy blonde hair. His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. A true patriot, Gerbo would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and a strong sense of loyalty to gnomish people
