Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He is lazy and tries to find solutions quickly.

History: He got into the Guard business at a young age. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. More though he will beg to come along on any journeys. He will attempt to stowaway on any ship he can in the hopes that it will get him further away.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Description: A man with a calm yet intense air about him, he is dressed in earthy colors with a blue and brown handkerchief worn on his left side. He wears his hair in dreadlocks. His eyes are likewise violet. His teeth are yellowed and unaligned.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Dilettante but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the north. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Dilettante. He has worked as a Dilettante like his mother before him.

Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. Serpent enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Serpent lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.
