History: Oppleby was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Druid, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Druid in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He found a children's book about a Gnome Druid who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his mother. Through the years after Skirt was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Skirt's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Skirt and his spouse have recently divorced.
