History: Charles was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. Charles was born on a far southern mountains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Shipwright. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs
